04 Feb Junior Recital at Furman University
On March 18th, 2022 at 7pm, Scott Johnson and Laura Woody will share their joint junior degree recital in Daniel Recital Hall in Furman University’s Daniel Music Building, adjacent to McAlister Auditorium. The half-length recital is a graduation requirement for Furman students seeking a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance degree, with the option of sharing the space and time slot with another student as Scott and Laura have opted.
This recital will feature music in English, Italian, German, French, and Russian. Look out for Scott’s performance of three settings of American Folk Songs by Steven Mark Kohn, also to be found on his YouTube. George Frederick Handel and Franz Schubert will feature also. Laura will sing selections from Poulenc, Fanny Mendelssohn, and Rachmaninoff.
This event will not be ticketed, but may have a maximum capacity depending on the prevalence of Covid-19 cases in Greenville. If you or your loved ones are unable to attend in person, the recital will be live-streamed (and permanently retained) by Furman Music on YouTube.
