The Ohio Light Opera 2022

Scott Johnson will be joining the cast of The Ohio Light Opera for the summer season of 2022 as a Young Artist. Scott’s teacher, Dr. Grant Knox, is a longtime veteran of the program; Scott is excited to follow in his footsteps. 

The Ohio Light Opera is dedicated to the exploration and production of the best of traditional operetta and musical theater. This summer, the company’s 43rd season, will feature productions of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, The Pirates of Penzance, The Mock Marriage, The Student Prince, The Fantasticks and Hello, Dolly!

Scott will make appearances in ensemble and small spoken roles in nearly every show throughout the season (with the exception of The Fantasticks). He will also play a principal role as Captain Arthur in Franz Lehár’s The Mock Marriage, a lesser-known work from the composer of The Merry Widow. In total, Scott will be a part of more than three dozen performances in the summer of 2022.
