21 Sep Senior Recital
At 4:30pm on April 16th, 2023 in Daniel Chapel at Furman University, Scott Johnson will offer his senior degree recital in collaboration with virtuoso pianist Brent Funderburk.
A full-length degree recital is the capstone project of the Vocal Performance major at Furman University. Scott’s recital will feature mélodie from Gabriel Fauré (Opus 6), several lieder from Hugo Wolf’s Eichendorff Lieder, and folk song selections from Benjamin Britten’s first volume.
Praised for his sensitive and nuanced accompanying, Brent Funderburk is one of the nation’s most promising collaborative pianists. Equally at home in opera, art song, chamber music, and vocal coaching, he is fast becoming known throughout the country as a respected recitalist, coach, and music director.
This performance will be open to the public and will not be ticketed.
